Aquatech's Executive Chairmen Reappointed to Serve on the Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM) 2024-2025 Advisory Committee

Text

After holding an Advisory Committee position with the Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM) for three years, Venkee Sharma, Executive Chairman of Aquatech, has been re-appointed to serve on the Climate and Energy Transition subcommittee.

The Advisory Subcommittee on Climate, also known as the Council on Climate, advises how EXIM can enhance its support for U.S. exporters and American jobs in the clean energy sector, while fulfilling congressional mandates to promote environmentally beneficial renewable energy, energy efficiency, and energy storage exports.

Venkee champions the representation of production and small businesses in his role on the Advisory Committee, emphasizing the vital connection between climate adaptation, technology, and international trade. He believes that technology and global commerce can positively and negatively impact climate change. As such, he is committed to fostering global trade growth while promoting adaptable technologies that strengthen the economy and address the complex challenges of climate change.

Drawing from his role and experiences with Aquatech, he aims to contribute to several key areas, including advanced water technology, innovative climate adaptation solutions, sustainable extraction and use of critical minerals, and advancing the clean energy transition. Specifically, he supports the development of electric vehicles (EV) and energy storage battery supply chains, while advocating for responsible battery recycling practices.

We are excited to see Venkee’s collaboration and contribution to EXIM through this subcommittee.
