How does the iGBR™ technology work?

Intelligent Granular Bed Reactor (iGBR™) is a cutting-edge granular sludge process operating under feast-famine conditions. By maintaining multiple bacterial cultures within a single reactor, it enables the simultaneous removal of contaminants such as carbon, nitrogen, and phosphorus (90-95% reduction) with very low TSS in product.

The unique hydrodynamic forces combined with specialized seed media help the microbial culture to granulate the sludge, leading to excellent settling properties. The iGBR™ process is fully automatic and controlled based on real-time operational parameters including pH, DO and ORP.
